In 2021 industrial products at 54,5 milliard manats or more for 5,2 percent compared to 2020 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. The product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 18,9 percent.

64,5 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 29,9 percent in manufacturing sector, 4,8 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,8 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable oil production in mining sector increased by 0,1 percent, marketable gas production by 23,0 percent.

Production of construction materials in manufacturing sector increased by 80,6 percent, pharmaceutical products by 58,3 percent, tobacco products by 54,0 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 46,7 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 29,8 percent, textile industry products by 26,8 percent, paper and cardboard by 26,5 percent, chemical industrial products by 25,5 percent, production of furniture by 24,8 percent, production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 21,3 percent, rubber and plastic products by 17,4 percent, finished metal products by 17,4 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 16,9 percent, oil products by 13,4 percent, food products by 10,2 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 8,3 percent, production of beverage by 2,3 percent, while production of machine and equipment decreased by 9,1 percent, electrical equipment by 11,2 percent, production of clothes by 21,7 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 38,3 percent, polygraphic products by 45,2 percent, other vehicles by 92,6 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 7,1 percent, while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 18,2 percent.
