- The Board of the State Statistical Committee was organized in line with the "Statue on the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan" confirmed by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 24 June, 2009.

- Planning, preparation and leading rules of Board meetings and control the implementation of the decisions adopted by them is implemented in accordance with the Statue on the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Regulation of the State Statistical Committee.
- The Board of the SSC of the Republic of Azerbaijan in its meetings discusses issues related to the activity of SSC of the Republic of Azerbaijan, implementation of tasks entrusted to the SSC, organization and development of statistics in the country.

As appropriate, suggestions of the chairman of the Committee, Deputy Chairmen, Departments of the Apparatus and persons in charge of the SSC and bodies under its subordination, can be discussed in the Board meeting on the base of presentation of the Chief of Administration and agreement of the Chairman of the Committee.
