Industrial output in 2020
In 2020 industrial products at 37,1 milliard manats or less for 5,0 percent compared to 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. This decrease was due to 6.9 percent decrease in product output in oil-gas sector, while product output in non-oil and gas sector of industry increased by 12.5 percent.
61,3 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 32,5 percent in manufacturing sector, 5,3 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,9 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.
Marketable oil production in mining sector decreased by 8,0 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 6,3 percent.
Production of pharmaceutical products in manufacturing sector increased by 10,7 times, electrical equipment by 9,6 times, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 67,4 percent, other vehicles by 47,0 percent, paper and cardboard by 36,9 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 35,7 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 34,5 percent, production of clothes by 32,7 percent, chemical industrial products by 20,5 percent, rubber and plastic products by 13,5 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 11,9 percent, textile industry products by 7,4 percent, finished metal products by 7,3 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 4,7 percent, while production of construction materials decreased by 0,1 percent, food products by 2,1 percent, polygraphic products by 2,3 percent, oil products by 3,6 percent, machine and equipment by 5,1 percent, tobacco products by 7,9 percent, beverage by 13,7 percent, production of furniture by 26,2 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 41,3 percent.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 2,4 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it decreased by 10,4 percent.
