Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Mr Tahir Budagov met with Ambassador of Turkey to our country

On July 22, 2021, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tahir Budagov met with Jahit Bagchi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Tahir Budagov complimented Jahit Bagchi, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and wished success in his activities in Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the Committee noted that the words of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev “Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation in two states” and the founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kamal Ataturk “Azerbaijan's joy is our joy, and its sorrow is ours too” are on everyone’s lips, said that Turkey is the first country to recognize our state independence and support fair position of Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War and emphasized that its political and moral support is highly appreciated. He also noted that as a result of the policy pursued by the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the relations between the two countries are based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood increasing to the level of important strategic cooperation.

In his turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey newly appointed to our country, Cahit Bagchi thanked for the warm meeting and noted about successful development of political, economic-business, humanitarian etc. relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which are based on historical roots and brotherhood and always demonstrate solidarity.

At the meeting, where the activities of both heads of states in the development of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations were emphasized, the importance of cooperation in the field of statistics as in all directions was noted, the sides exchanged views on perspectives and issues of mutual interest.
