Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's memory commemorated in the State Statistical Committee

On December 11, the memorial ceremony on the 15th anniversary of the death of the architect and founder of the independent state, our nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev has been held in the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

First of all, flowers were laid in front of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's bust at the foyer of the Committee and his dear memory was commemorated.

Then the memorial ceremony began with the memory of ever-living personality Heydar Aliyev with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Tahir Budagov spoke about the world-renowned politician and great statesman Heydar Aliyev who belongs to nation with all his being, the honorable and meaningful way of life of him, rich political legacy that will serve our people over centuries and his rescue mission in our latest history. He noted that unique historical figure Heydar Aliyev left to nation a legacy of strong, indefatigable and powerful state devoting all his life to it. Our thankful nation is always proud of internationally beloved, honored nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, his indispensible services, life activity exemplary for the generations, eternally trusts to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev who is successfully continuing today the political line of the genius leader on the new level, and unanimously supports political, economic, social reforms led by him as a political successor of the great leader. All of that proves once again that by leadership of the head of our state the policy of Heydar Aliyev lives and brings our nation to sustainable development and progress.  

Mr. Vugar Mammadalizade, Head of the Department of Quality Management and Metadata, Mr. Farhad Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of the Administration of the State Statistical Committee and others have noted that the great leader laid a solid foundation of future development path of our nation, predicted Azerbaijan’s development trend even after 10 years and defined the global development path of our state. Today we can proudly note that sustainability of economic and political position of Azerbaijan is completely provided in international arena. The world community recognizes Azerbaijan and its leader, gratefully remembers and expresses kind words and high opinions to him, and reckons with Azerbaijan’s foreign policy which is the splendid result of historical services rendered by Heydar Aliyev to our nation. And the ideas of ever-living leader live and become immortalized in the development of independent Azerbaijan.

At the end of the ceremony the participants watched a film dedicated to the life and activity of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, which was prepared by Azerbaijan Television.
