7th meeting of the Eastern Partnership Expert Working Group on Statistics organized by EU Statistical Office (Eurostat) devoted to the use of administrative data sources in European statistics is held on 4-5 December 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. Mr. Elchin Haji, Head of the Department of Social Statistics, Mr. Toghrul Ajalov, Deputy Head of the Department of Statistical Works Coordination and Strategic Planning and Ms. Tarana Mammadova, chief adviser of the same department of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan are attending the event.

Besides Azerbaijan, experts of Statistical Institutions of Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia as well as experts of Eurostat, Lithuania and Latvia are also attending the seminar.

The role of administrative data sources in the organization of statistical work, the legal basis of their use, the best European practices in use of administrative data sources will be featured at the session, as well as the representatives of participating countries will make presentations.
