The next meeting of the Statistical Council under the State Statistical Committee was held

On November 15, 2017, the next meeting of the Statistical Council under the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

Chairman of the State Statistical Committee Tahir Budagov delivered an opening speech to the members of the Council and informed them on the agenda. He said that according to the schedule of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the State Statistical Committee is carrying out consistent measures according to the calendar plan on the tasks arising from the Decree No. 1040 of 7 September 2016 "On Population Census in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2019.

At the Council's meeting, the issues on population census and questionnaire lists were discussed. During the discussion, the members of the council discussed the importance of the next census of population with important state measures, the use of administrative resources in the census, the awareness raising among the population, and the effective use of the media, social networks, non-governmental organizations, and information and communications expressed their opinion on the application of technology, put forward their proposals.
