Regional Conference on Turin process held in Tbilisi, Georgia

Representative of the State Statistical Committee Farhad Gubatov Deputy Head of Department of Service Statistics participated in the The Regional Torino Process 2014 Conference of the Eastern Partnership Platform 4 organized by the European Commission, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the European Training Foundation held on 3-4 December, 2014 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Economy and Industry also participated in the Conference. As well as, representatives and experts of statistical bodies, ministry of education, labor and economy of Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia participated in the Conference.
The Torino Process was a participatory process leading to an evidence-based analysis of vocational education and training (VET) policies in a given country.
At the conference, the main findings and conclusions of the Torino Process 2014 in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine was presented and discussed. The purpose was highlight main commonalities in the progresses achieved in VET over the previous two years and it was discussed the scope for regional cooperation and possible benchmarking in future. The Conference was addressed to these six countries, all members of the Eastern Partnership Platform 4, and hosted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the European Commission and the European Training Foundation.
