The results of the 52nd Meeting of Council of the Heads of Statistical Services of CIS member countries and the seminar on development of labor statistics in CIS member countries: problems and perspectives of data exchange

Representative of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Natella Guliyeva – Head of Labor Statistics Department participated in the 52nd Meeting of Council of the Heads of Statistical Services of CIS member countries and the seminar on development of labor statistics in CIS member countries: problems and perspectives of data exchange held on 11-12 December, 2014 in Minsk. Current meeting of the Council was organized by Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS and seminar by International Labor Organization (ILO).
Heads of Statistical Services of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Moldova and Russia, authorized representatives of statistical services of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan and the Chairman of Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS participated in the meeting of Heads of Statistical Bodies of member-participant countries of the CIS.
In the meeting of the Council issues on improvement of global strategies of agriculture and agricultural statistics, fulfillment of the implementation of the CIS statistical infrastructure project and development of the web-portal of the Statistical Committee of the CIS were discussed.
At the end of the meeting heads of statistical services of member-participant countries of the CIS gave information on activity of the council in 2014 and 52nd meeting was finalized.
Besides the meeting of the Council it was also carried out seminar on development of labor statistics in CIS member countries: problems and perspectives of data exchange. The seminar was organized in the frame of project on development of labor statistics in CIS region.
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine also, Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, Administration of Executive Committee of the CIS, Ministry of Labor, Economy, Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and International Labor Organization participated in the seminar.
During the seminar key provisions of the 19th international conference and its implementation in CIS countries, purpose and duties of project on “development of labor statistics in CIS regions”, problems and perspectives of interstate statistical cooperation and others were discussed.
