Representatives of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic Azerbaijan Gulnar Ahmedova - Head Adviser of the Department of Population and Gender Statistics and Seadet Rahimova – Deputy Head of Department on Econometric Analysis of Statistics of the Scientific-Research and Design Technological Centre of the Statistical Data participated in the Training Course organized for CIS countries on Demographic Forecasting organized by UNFPA and National Research University of Russia Higher School of Economics on 22 September – 5 October, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Representatives from National Statistical Services of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and Ministry of Economic Development, Russian Academy of Sciences, UNFPA as well as experts from National Research University of Russia Higher School of Economics and Moscow State University participated in the Training Course.
The main purpose of training course was study of methodology on calculation of number of population and demographic forecasting in accordance with international standards and implementation of those methodologies practically according to the national peculiarities.
During training course topics on “Demographic Transition Theory”, “Regional peculiarities of Demographic Transition”, “Key Conception of Demographic Research”, “Model of Death and Forecasting Methods”, “Models on Reproduction of Population”, “Modelling and Forecasting Methods of Birth”, “Modelling and Forecasting Methods of Migration Flows”, “Preliminary Processing Methods of Demographic data”, “Base of Demographic data” and “Forecasting of Household”, “Theory of Human Development” and others were discussed.
At the end of the course international certificate of UNFPA and National Research University of Russia Higher School of Economics and certificate on improvement of professional skill of National Research University of Higher School of Economics were presented to the participants.
