Work Session on Statistical Metadata was held in Geneva (Switzerland)

Representative of the State Statistical Committee Gasim Aliyev - head of Department of Quality Management and Information Technologies participated in the Work Session on Statistical Metadata held in Geneva on 6-8 May of the current year. The meeting was organized by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Eurostat and OECD. Work session was organized as part of the Conference of European Statisticians work programme on statistical metadata (METIS).
Experts of Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Hungary, Latvia, Mexico, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, South Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Great Britain and Switzerland Statistical Services participated in the Session. Also, representatives of Eurostat, FAO, Bank for International Settlements, ILO, IMF, OECD and 4 independent experts from “Rapanea” Advisory Service, Metadata Technology of Great Britain, Metadata Technology of South America and Michigan University participated in the Session. During the Work Session following substantive topics were discussed:
