Participation of representative of the State Statistical Committee in the meeting organized by Statistical Committee of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow

Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Statistics - Rashad Bayramov was participated in the meeting organized by Statistical Committee of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow on 26-27 September, 2012.
The main purpose of meeting was consist of implementation of "Global Strategy on improvement of statistics on agriculture and rural area"? prepared by FAO and World Bank in CIS region and discussion of problems that may face in this case. There are 22 experts from Statistical Committee of Commonwealth of Independent States, member states to the CIS - Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Moldova and Armenia were participated in the meeting.
The first day of the meeting head of Economical Statistics of Statistical Committee of the CIS - I.P.Goryacheva presented her presentation on "Global Strategy on improvement of statistics on agriculture and rural area"? prepared by FAO and World Bank in CIS region. It was noted that, Global Strategy will give opportunity for the formation of indicators and main data on agriculture for the national and international statistical systems.
Second day of the meeting condition of agricultural statistics and the issues should be solved were discussed.
Then representatives of statistical services of member countries on CIS were presented their presentation on implementation of draft project on "Global Strategy on improvement of statistics on agriculture and rural area"?. After the discussions correction were made, adopted the project and for the final comment they decided to present it in the meeting of heads of statistical services which will be held in St. Petersburg.
