Representatives of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan head of Department of National Accounts and Macro-economic Indicators Statistics N.Suleymanov and head of Department of Industry and Construction Statistics A.Abbasaliyev were participated in the conference hold on 9-10 April, 2012 in Moscow on SNS-2008 update of the provisions of the plans for the application of statistical practice.
The basis of the discussions was the followings:
Works carried out in the direction of application of SNS-93 and SNS-2008 by the specialists of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, and CIS Statistical Committees and lectures about considered measures, as well as, data of representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine on this theme.
Representatives take part in the Conference gave full information about the improvement of indicators on National Accounts in the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, works carried out in the field of application of SNS-2008, as well as calculation methods of indicators on "imputed value of housing services"?
The chairman of the conference A.Kosarev (acting deputy chairman of CIS Statistical Committee) considered estimable the works of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan carried out during last few years on improvement of statistical indicators on National Accounts and asked to prepare information and present it to the Statistical Committee of CIS on the theme of calculation method of imputed value of housing services by the purpose of disseminate the practice of Azerbaijan in other member countries.
During the discussions known that, at the moment works on application of SNS-2008 was started and measures planned on this direction reflected in the official documents of statistical bodies.
Also, representatives were informed about the methodological resource on impact of globalization to the national accounts prepared by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Eurostat and OECD and noted that, this document is compiled by the purpose of to disclosure the problems occurred on impact of globalization on economy and statistical record, systematization and detailed explanation.
Besides that, Draft of Coordination Plan on new recommendations on application of SNS-2008, support and formation of data exchange, dissemination of practices and coordination of methodological works will prepare and for comments will send to CIS member countries.
