Participation of representatives of the State Statistical Committee in the 22nd Expert Meeting of FAO/ECA Working Party on Women and the Family in Rural Development and 15th session

Representatives of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Statistics Rashad Bayramov and Chief Adviser of the Department of Population and Gender Statistics Zabiha Asgar were participated in the 22nd Expert Meeting of FAO/ECA on Assessing the Socio-economic Status of Rural Women and Men in Europe and Central Asia held in 20-21 February 2012 in Roma and 15th Session on Women and the Family in Rural Development on 23 February 2012.
The main purpose of 22nd Expert Meeting of FAO/ECA on Assessing the Socio-economic Status of Rural Women and Men in Europe and Central Asia was about the discussions on collection and dissemination of data on gender statistics, assessing the socio-economic status of rural women and men on country and set of gender indicators on agriculture for the application by country.
15th Session on Women and the Family in Rural Development was about activity of the group, financial means and necessary measures for future, creation of national gender network and appointment of national focal points on gender issues in agriculture. At the end of the session there was made the decision on preparation of recommendation documents by the Secretariat related to the issues would be discussed in FAO regional workshop on 17-20 April 2012 in Baku and the certificates were presented to the participants.
