One of the major priority directions of the state policy is the development of the scientific-technical potential, increase of reputation of scientific employees in the society.

In the beginning of the current year doctorates operated in the 119 higher education institutions and scientific organizations having great role in increasing the scientific potential of the country and 2850 people studied that 55.0% of them was women. 78.6% of students studied philosophy, 21.4% doctor of Science programs.

36.0% of students studied in the scientific organizations, 64.0% in the doctorates established in the high schools. This indicator was 33.7 and 66.3% relevantly on Doctor of Philosophy program, 44.2 and 55.8% on Doctor of Sciences program.

50.6% of students studying on Doctor of Philosophy program are youth under the age of 30, 30.1% of students studying on Doctor of Sciences program are those under the age of 40.

365 of 2239 people studying on Doctor of Philosophy program study economy, 310 - philology, 265 - technique, 177 – agrarian, 142 – medicine, 116 - mathematics, per 104 – political and biology sciences, others – on other fields of science.

102 of doctorates study on philology, 83 – agrarian, 60 – history, 59 – biology, 58 – technique, 51 – economy, 49 – chemistry, 21 – medicine, 20 – earth sciences, 19 – legal sciences, 19 – study of art, 70 study on Doctor of Sciences program in other fields.

In comparison with 2018, graduation on Doctor of Philosophy program in 2019 decreased 30.4% - 421 people, Doctor of Sciences program increased 26.3% - 118 people. The number of people enrolled on Doctor of Philosophy program decreased 4.8% - 633 people and on Doctor of Sciences program 15.2% - 140 people.

Furthermore, in 2019 728 dissertators were arranged on Doctor of Philosophy program of which 71.0% were women. The number of dissertators on Doctor of Sciences program was 249 of which 126 were women. The major part of dissertators was arranged in the field of medicine, economy, philology, history, technique, biology and mathematics sciences.
