Industrial output in January 2020
In January 2020 industrial products at 4,2 milliard manats or more for 2.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2019 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non oil-gas sector of industry increased by 16,6 percent.
68.4 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 26,4 percent in manufacturing sector, 4,6 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0,6 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.
Oil production in mining sector decreased by 3,8 percent, while marketable gas production increased by 21.1 percent.
Production of computer, electronic and optical products in manufacturing sector increased by 2.2 times, other vehicles by 89.8 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 82.8 percent, automobile, trailers and semi-trailers by 72.8 percent, production of clothes by 70,1 percent, finished metal products by 63.9 percent, pharmaceutical products by 60.0 percent, furniture by 53.3 percent, beverage by 40.8 percent, chemical industrial products by 40.5 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 38.8 percent, construction materials by 35.2 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 30.7 percent, oil products by 21.3 percent, rubber and plastic products by 3.5 percent, tobacco products by 1.6 percent, food products by 1.1 percent, while production of textile industry products by 1.4 percent, paper and cardboard by 9.1 percent, polygraphic products by 30.3 percent, electrical equipment by 33.3 percent, machine and equipment by 44.0 percent, leather and leather products and shoes decreased by 59.7 percent.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 6.4 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 1.0 percent.
