According to the rules on use of fish and other aquatic biological resources 1185,8 tons of fish was caught in the country instead of 1176,6 tons of quota designated for 151 natural and legal entities in 2019 or compared to 2018 fishing quota decreased for 27,1%. 694,0 tons of caught fish were flock, 105,7 tons – omul, 81,3 tons – herring, 69,9 tons – mullet, 59,7 tons – roach, 40,8 tons – bream, 45,4 tons – carp, 20,0 tons – carassius, 10,0 tons – sander marinus, 8,2 tons - alburnus, 5,0 tons – catfish, 3,4 tons – asp and 31,2 tons of other fish species.

Last year payment for quota by fishers made 101,6 thousand manats.

According to the primary data in 2019, 63084 tons of fish were hunted by legal and physical entities, taking into account the quota, which is 1.9 per cent more than in 2018.
