Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in January-October of 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 increased by 2.6%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 3.7%, non-food products 1.2%, paid services provided to population 2.2%.
In October of current year compared to September prices of consumer goods and services increased by 0.4%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 0.2%, non-food products 0.1%, while prices of paid services provided to population increased by 0.9%.
During the month increasing in prices of rice, flour, semolina and buckwheat, beef and sheep meat, fresh fish, smoked sausage, nonpasteurized skimmed milk, cheese, yogurt, egg, table margarine, orange, banana, grape, nut, hazelnut, cucumber, tomato, pepper, egg-plant, onion, garlic, potato, lemonade decreasing in prices of macaroni products, boiled sausage, sterilised skimmed milk, sweetened condensed milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, olive, sunflower and corn oil, lemon, tangerine, apple, pear, quince, pomegranate, kiwi, date, chestnut, cabbage, carrot, beet, green bean, pumpkin, lentil, sugar, coffee, tea and cocoa, vodka and beer were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.
In October of current year compared to September there was rise in prices of non-food products such as clothes and shoes, furniture and home goods, refrigerators, spare parts for cars, wallpapers, brick, cut wood, jewelry products decreasing in prices of TV sets, air conditioner, mobile phones, cement, parquet, paint were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
During month there was rise in prices of paid services provided to population – repairing, cleaning and renting of clothes, domestic appliances, repairing of cars, services provided by restaurants and cafes, hairdressing and cosmetic services and reduce in prices of renting apartments, international passenger transportation services by railway and air transport. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
