Changes in prices of consumer market

Prices of consumer goods and services in January-July of 2019 compared to the same period of 2018 increased by 2.7%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 3.1%, non-food products 1.3%, paid services provided to population 3.0%.

In July of 2019 compared to June prices of consumer goods and services increased by 0.1%, including non-food products 0.2%, paid services provided to population by 0.1% while prices of food products, beverage and tobacco products remained the same.

During the month decreasing in prices of long rice, flour, vermicelli, chicken meat, boiled sausage, sausage, sterilized skimmed milk, sweetened condensed milk, solid and soft cheese with rumen yeast, cottage cheese, egg, corn and sunflower oil, banana, pear, plum, apricot, peach, watermelon and melon, grape, pepper, egg-plant, green bean, beet, carrot,     garlic, potato, dried peas, lentil, sugar and sugar powder, tea and cacao powder, ice-cream, mineral waters, lemonade, energy drinks and increasing in prices of round rice, spaghetti, beef and mutton, smoked and half smoked sausage, canned beef, fresh fish, nonpasteurized skimmed milk, yoğurt, brunette cheese, butter, lemon, apple, cherries, strawberry, cabbage, tomato, cucumber, onion, cola and beer were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.

During the month increasing in prices of non-food products such as cloth, furniture and home goods, carpets and other floor coverings, bicycles, stationery, spare parts for cars, oil and watery paint, wallpapers, cut wood, parquet, washing machine, air conditioner, ventilator, camera, tablet computer, jewelry and decreasing in prices of microwave, TV sets, mobile phones, laptop, shampoo and dye for hair, deodorant, synthetic detergent in powder form were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other non-food products.

In July compared to June there was rise in prices of paid services provided to population – domestic appliances, repairing of cars and shoes, international passenger transportation services by railway transport to CIS countries and international passenger services by air transport to other countries except CIS countries, hotel services, paid higher education fees and vacation tours and reduce in prices of passenger transportation services by air transport to CIS countries.No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
