Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in January 2019 compared to January 2018 increased by 1.7%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 0.7%, non-food products 1.2%, paid services provided to population 3.4%.
In January of the current year compared to December 2018 prices of consumer goods and services increased by 0.2%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 0.9%, non-food products 0.2% and prices for paid services provided to population decreased by 0.8%.
In January of the current year compared to December of the last year increasing in prices of rice, flour, semolina and buckwheat, macaroni products, mutton and beef, cooked sausage, fish products, dairy products, butter and vegetable oils, lemon, tangerine, banana, apple, pear, quince, pomegranate, kiwi, walnuts, hazelnuts, cabbage, greens, cucumber, tomato, pepper, egg-plant, beet, potato, onion, sugar and sugar powder, energy drinks, alcohol drinks and decreasing in prices of chicken meat, egg, smoked, semi-smoked sausage, orange, chestnut, carrot were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.
During the month increasing in prices of non-food products such as fabrics, clothes and shoes, carpet and other floor coverings, furniture and home goods, motor cars and spares, bicycles, washing machines, fridges, TV sets, tablet computers, office supplies, bricks, nitro and water colour, and decreasing in cut wood boards, cements, oil paint, mobile phones and gas oven were observed. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other non-food products.
In January of the current year compared to December of the last year there was rise in prices of paid services provided to population – repair of motor cars, hotel services, vacation tours inside the country, and reducing in prices of international passenger transportation by air and railway transport. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
