Industrial output in January-February 2019

In January-February 2019 industrial products at 7.6 milliard manats or more for 3.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the 2018 were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 15.5 percent.

71.7 percent of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 22.7 percent in manufacturing sector, 4.9 percent in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.7 percent in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Marketable gas production in mining sector increased by 34.3 percent, while oil remained at the same level of the previous year.

Production of automobile, trailers and semi-trailers in manufacturing sector increased by 3.0 times, furniture by 85.5 percent, machine and equipment by 80.8 percent, rubber and plastic products by 64.0 percent, beverage by 63.4 percent, paper and cardboard by 50.2 percent, textile industry products by 49.6 percent, computer, electronic and optical products by 37.8 percent, chemical industrial products by 33.2 percent, pharmaceutical products by 26.8 percent, wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 25.3 percent, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 18.2 percent, construction materials by 12.8 percent, while production of other vehicles decreased by 4.5 percent, metallurgical industrial products by 8.9 percent, finished metal products by 12.4 percent, polygraphic products by 15.7 percent, electrical equipment by 24.0 percent, clothes by 27.1 percent, tobacco products by 32.1 percent, leather and leather products and shoes by 39.8 percent.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply increased by 2.3 percent and in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 12.1 percent.
