Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in 2018 compared to 2017 increased by 2.3%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 1.7%, non-food products 2.6%, paid services provided to population 2.7%.
In December of 2018 compared to November prices of consumer goods and services increased by 0.8%, including food products, beverage and tobacco products 1.7%, non-food products 0.2% and paid services provided to population 0.1%.
In December of 2018 compared to November increasing in prices of rice, flour, mutton and chicken meat, sausage products, fish products, milk products and cheese, olive and corn oils, banana, pear, date, walnut, hazelnut, chestnut, cucumber, tomato, pepper, beet, potato, onion, coffee, tea and cacao, tobacco products, alcohol drinks and decreasing in prices of round rice, manna and buckwheat, vermicelli and macaroni products, beef, egg, lemon, orange, tangerine, apple, cabbage, greens, carrot, garlic, sugar and sugar powder were observed. No significant changes were observed in prices of other food products.
Over the month increasing in prices of non-food products such as fabric, clothes, shoes, furniture and home goods, automobile, tablet computers, cameras, office supplies, jewellery and decreasing in prices of washing machines, air conditioners, spare parts for vehicles, mobile phones were observed. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other non-food products.
In December compared to November there was rise in prices of paid services provided to population - cleaning, repairing and renting of clothes, passenger transportation to CIS countries by air and railway transport, vacation tours out of the country and reducing in prices of passenger transportation services by air transport to other countries except CIS countries. No significant changes were observed in prices of other paid services.
