Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in January-July 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017 increased by 2.8%, including food products 2.8%, non-food products 3.4%, paid services provided to population 2.3%.
In July of the current year compared to June prices of consumer goods and services decreased by 0.6%, including food products 1.5%, while prices of non-food products and paid services provided to population increased by 0.1%.
During the month prices of round rice, porridge and buckwheat, pasta products, sheep meat, non-pasteurized milk, banana, apple, pear, greengage plum, plum, apricot, peach, tomato, cucumber, eggplant, pepper, blue beans, cabbage, beet, garlic, onion, potato decreased while the prices of long rice, beef and chicken meat, egg, margarine and corn oil, sugar and sugar powder, black and green tea, lemon, cherries, watermelon, melon, strawberry, greens, carrot increased. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other food products.
In July, compared to previous month, there had been observed increase in prices of paid services provided to population such as domestic and international passenger services by railway transport, international passenger services by air transport to the foreign countries except CIS countries, paid higher education fees, furniture, home appliances and floor coverings, services of repairing footwear; decrease in prices of international passenger services by air transport to CIS countries and renting of flats. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other paid services.
