In January-June 2018 industrial products at 23.8 milliard manats or more than 1.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year were produced by industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field. Product output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 8.8%, while in oil sector it decreased by 0.2%.

72.0% of industrial products were produced in mining sector, 23.4% in manufacturing sector, 4.0% in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.6% in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities.

Oil production in mining sector increased by 0.9%, while marketable gas production decreased by 4.9%.

Production of automobile in manufacturing sector increased by 16.6 times, tobacco products by 3.4 times, polygraphic products by 2.7 times, production of furniture by 2.0 times, electrical equipment by 84.1%, ready metal products and textile industry products per 64.1%, production of leather and leather products and shoes by 56.9%, construction materials by 34.0%, metallurgical industrial products by 15.0%, production of clothing by 10.3%, beverage by 5.6%, production of chemical industrial products by 0.4%, production of pharmaceutical products by 0.3%, while wood manufacturing and production of wood products by 2.3%, production of food products by 3.1%, production of machine and equipment by 6.7%, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 8.4%, computer, electronic and optical products by 10.6%, rubber and plastic products by 19.3% and production of other vehicles by 62.7% decreased.

Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been increased by 4.0% while in the sector of water supply, waste management and remediation activities it increased by 0.5%.
