Changes in prices of consumer market

Prices of consumer goods and services in January-June 2018 compared to corresponding period of 2017 increased by 3.0%, including food products 3.0%, non-food products 3.8%, paid services provided to population 2.4%.

In June of the current year compared to May prices of consumer goods and services decreased by 0.7% including food products 1.6%, while prices of non-food products and paid services provided to population stayed stable. During last three months of current year the consistent decrease in prices of food products compared to the previous month resulted in a decrease in prices of consumer goods and services by 0.3% in the second quarter compared to the first quarter.

During the month prices of porridge and buckwheat, pasta products, sheep meat, yogurt, cheese, butter, cherry, plum, apricot, strawberry, tomato, cucumber, aubergine, bean, onion, potato products decreased while the prices of rice, beef and chicken meat, egg, olive, corn and sunflower seed oil, greens, sugar powder, ice-cream, green and black tea increased. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other food products.
