Changes in prices of consumer market
Prices of consumer goods and services in January 2018 compared to January 2017 increased by 5, 5%, including food products 6, 9%, non-food products 5, 1%, paid services provided to population 3.9%.
In January 2017 compared to December prices of food products increased by 0.5%, non-food products 0.2 and paid services provided to population decreased by 0.8%. As a result, Consumer Goods and Services Index was 100%.
In January compared to December there had been observed increase in prices sheep meat, milk, cheese, butter, olive oil and margarine oils, pomegranate, cucumber, tomato, pepper, eggplant, onion, potatoes, tea, coffee and cocoa, decrease in prices of flour, cereal, chicken and meat, egg, sunflower and corn oil, carrot, garlic, sugar and sugar powder. There are no any significant changes in prices of other food products.
In January compared to December there had been observed increase in prices of textile, cloth and shoes, construction materials, furniture and household goods, carpet and other floor coverings, spare parts for passenger cars, jewellery, decrease in price of washing machines, air conditioners, cars, TVs, personal computers, stationery. No significant changes had been observed in prices of other non-food products.
Over the month there had been observed decrease in prices of paid services provided to population such as international passenger and railway transport services, recreational tours outside the country, increase in prices of repair of motor vehicles, household appliances and shoes, flat rent, dental services. There are no any significant changes in prices of other paid services.
