Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country on January 2016
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 4011.2 million manat have been produced by the enterprises and organizations and natural entities operating in the country and it was less than 3.3% in comparison with January of last year in January, 2016. The main reason of this was decrease in producing of product and services in oil-gas industry, construction and transport sector. 37.3% of value added produced in industry, 10.9% in trade; maintenance of transport means, 8.6% in construction, 7.2% in transport and warehouse, 3.1% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 3.0% in accommodation of tourists and public catering, 2.2% in information and communication and 20.0% in other fields. Net of tax to the product and import made up 7.7% of GDP. Volume of GDP on per capita was equal to 418.3 manat.
Industrial productsfor 2112.8 million manat or less than 3.1% compared with the corresponding period of the last year were produced by industrial enterprises and natural entities on January, 2016. The main reason of this was decrease in crude oil production by 3.9%, gas production by 10.5% and electricity production by 9.9%, as well as variety of processing industry production.
62.2% of industry product was produced in mining sector, 28.8% in processing sector, 8.1% in distribution and supply on electricity, gas and steam, 0.9% in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in mining sector decreased by 3.5%.
Production of food products in processing sector increased by 2.1%, tobacco products by 38.2%, textile industry products by 2.9 times, wood working and production of products from wood by 18.8%, production of printing products by 0.4%, production of metallurgical products by 6.9%, ready metal products by 2.1 times, computer, electron and optic products by 5.0%, automobile, trailer and semi-trailers by 2.4 times, furniture by 68.6%, installation and maintenance activities of machine and equipment by 2.2times and production of chemical industrial products decreased by 21.4%, rubber and plastic products by 40.6%, construction materials by 53.6%, clothing by 41.3% and beverage by 11.4%.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been decreased by 8.7% and in production output in water supply, sewerage and waste management and remediation activities it was increased by 0.7%.
Production output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 0.3% and it was decreased by 3.5% in oil sector.
The bulk of produced products were sent to consumers, for the state of 1 February, 2016 considering the balance of the previous periods there were ready products in amount of 321.9 million manat in warehouses of industrial enterprises.
Along with the preparation for spring-field works in agriculture 36.8 thousand tons meat in live weight, 147.3 thousand tons milk, 141.3 million unit eggs and 3.2 thousand tons vegetable were produced in January. Compared to January, 2015 production of meat increased by 0.5%, milk 3.0%, egg 4.5% and vegetable 0.6%.
Overall products of agriculture increased by 1.8%, as well as, crop production by 4.7% and livestock production by 1.7%.
Allocation for 880.7 million manat was directed to fixed assets in January, 2016. 772.0 million manat or 87.6 % of used allocation was spent to the construction of production facilities, 65.7 million manat (7.5%) to the facilities on service fields, 43.0 million manat (4.9%) to the construction of dwelling houses with total area 133.7 thousand square meter. 251.3 million manat or 28.5% of allocations directed to fixed assets made up domestic investments. 643.0 million manat or 73.0% of allocations directed to fixed capital was spent for the execution of construction-installation works.
16.4 million tons cargo and 137.6 million person passengers were transported by natural entities and enterprises engaged in transport and warehouse sector in January, 2016. In comparison with the corresponding month of 2015 cargo transportation decreased by 4.9% and passenger transportation increased by 1.0%. Backwardness observed in cargo transportation was related with decreases in railway, sea and pipeline transport.
2.6% of cargos were transported by sea, 8.7% by railway, 57.0% by automobile, 31.7% by pipeline transport.
87.6% of passengers were transported by automobile, 12.2% by metro and others with other types of transport.
Services for 130.4 million manat were rendered to legal and natural entities by information and communication enterprises and its 71.6% was per share of population sector. In comparison with corresponding month of 2015 volume of information and communication services increased by 7.9% in January, 2016, 81.6% of income received from this field was share of non-state sector.
Product for 2243.2 million manat was sold to population by retail trade network and paid services for 666.9 million manat were rendered by service enterprises in January, 2016. Compared to January of previous year commodity turnover increased by 4.3% and volume of paid services 3.6%, food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 1124.8 million manat and non-food products in amount of 1118.4 million manat were sold in trade network.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-September, 2015 volume of foreign trade turnover of the country made up 20645.9 million USA dollars. 11424.5 million dollars or 55.3% of commodity turnover made up exported products, 9221.4 million dollars (44.7%) imported products and positive balance in amount of 2203.1 million dollars has been established as a result of prevail by export into import. Compared to 2014 volume of foreign trade turnover decreased by 3.4%, as well as export 4.6% and import by 0.5%. 12.0% of trade turnover was share of CIS member countries, 47.0% EU countries and 41.0% other countries.
21.3% volume of imported goods was share of CIS member countries, 31.9% of EU countries, 46.8% of other countries. 4.6% of exported goods were sent to CIS member countries, 59.1% to EU countries, 36.3% to other countries.
Export of non-oil products made up 1581.2 million dollars by prevailing indicators of 2014 into 2015.
Compared to January, 2015 prices of consumer goods and services increased by 13.6%, as well as, prices of food products 18.3%, prices of non-food products 17.2% and prices of paid services to population 4.6%.
Average monthly nominal salary of employees compared to 2014 increased by 5.0% and it made up 466.4 manat in 2015.
Nominal income of population compared to the corresponding month of previous year increased by 12.1% and reached to 3080.6 million manat in January, 2016. 88.0 % of income was spent to final consumption, 9.5% to taxes, social insurance and membership dues and 2.5% for payment of credit interests.
According to the operational data of the Ministry of Finance state budget received fund in amount of 17153.2 million manat and means in amount of 17786.8 million manat were spent from budget in 2015, budget deficit in amount of 633.6 million manat was in the level of 1.2% of gross domestic products.
According to the data of Central Bank for the 1stJanuary, 2016 credit portfolio equivalent in national currency made up 21718.0 million manat, its 16417.2 million manat was long-term credits. Volume of credits increased by 17.1% compared to the 1st of January, 2015. Amount of overdue loans made up 6.9% of total credit portfolio.
Amount of deposits of population in banks made up 9473.9 million manat for the state of 1st January, 2016.
Average exchangerate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 1.58 manat, 1 Euro 1.72 manat and 100 Russian rouble 2.06 manat in January.
In 2015 the number of the population increased by 1.2% or 112.6 thousand person and reached to 9705.6 thousand person for the state of 1st January, 2016.
