During January-August, 2015 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in amount of 36.0 milliard manat or more than 4.2% compared to corresponding period of last year was produced by the enterprises and organizations and natural entities operating in the country. 34.6% of GDP was established in industry, 13.4% in construction, 9.9% in wholesale and retail trade; maintenance of automobiles and motorbikes, 2.8% in hotels and catering, 6.3% in agriculture, forestry, fishery, 5.8% in transport and warehouse, 2.0% in information and communication, 17.2% in other fields. Net of tax to the product and import was formed 8.0% of GDP.
In January-August, 2015 in amount of 17.6 milliard manat or more than 2.3% compared with the corresponding period of last year industrial products were produced by industrial enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field.
63.1% of industry product was produced in mining sector, 29.1% in processing sector, 6.9% in distribution and supply on electricity, gas and steam, 0.9% in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in mining sector increased by 1.3% as well as marketable gas by 4.2% and oil production was decreased by 2.5%. 78.0% decrease of gas production in “Shah Deniz” gas field has been adversely affected the growth rate of the country's natural gas production in connection with planned maintenance work.
Production of food products in processing sector increased by 3.5%, production of oil products 1.8%, production of chemical industry products 2.1 times, production of printing products 72.4%, production of construction materials 13.7%, production f metallurgical products 6.0%, production of ready metal products 53.7%, production of electrical equipment 29.4%.
Production volume in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been increased by 2.4% and also it was increased by 3.8% in production output in water supply, sewerage and waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in non-oil sector of industry increased by 11.3% and it was decreased by 0.9% in oil sector.
The bulk of produced products were sent to consumers, for the state of 1September, 2015 considering the balance of the previous periods there were ready products in amount of 286.6 million manat in warehouses of industrial enterprises.
At present, harvesting of agricultural crops is in progress. For the 1st of September 913.6 thousand hectare of sowing area with 915.2 thousand hectare of sowing area with winter and spring cereals and legumes (excluding maize) were reaped and 2781.4 thousand tons products were taken from those fields. On average the product obtained on per capita increased by 7.6 centner and formed 30.4 centner. Besides that, 69.6 thousand tons product was taken from maize sowing area with 13.2 thousand hectare.
Since the harvesting of crops till the 1st of September 685.0 thousand tons or more than 33.1 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period of the last year potato, 1011.5 thousand tons (more than 30.9 thousand tons) vegetable, 456.3 thousand tons (more than 45.9 thousand tons) market garden crops, 352.6 thousand tons (more than 9.1thousand tons) fruit and berry, 37.2 thousand tons (more than 104.0 tons) grape, 379.4 tons (more than 62.7 tons) green tea leaf, 2395.4 tons (more than 543.0 tons) tobacco leaf were gathered from fields.
During the reporting period 15.0 thousand tons (less than 11.6 %) product was produced at the result of decrease compared to the previous year by 1.2 thousand hectare or 12.8% of harvesting filed of sunflower for seed.
298.1 thousand tons or more than 1.1% compared to January-August of previous year meat in live weight, 1302.3 thousand tons (more than 4.3%) milk, 1019.4 million unit (more than 0.1%) eggs, 16.0 thousand tons (more than 1.7%) wool were produced in January-August, 2015.
During this period the growth rate of total agricultural products compared to January-August of previous year was formed 7.4% at the result of increase by 2.2% of production of cattle-breeding and 12.3% of plant-growing products.
Allocation in amount of 10550.1 million manat or more than 1.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year were directed to fixed assets in January-August, 2015. 6478.8 million manat or 61.4% of used allocation was spent to the construction of production facilities, 3369.4 million manat (31.9%) to the facilities on service fields, 701.9 million manat (6.7%) to the construction of dwelling houses with total area 1169.5 thousand square meter. 6076.5 million manat or 57.6% of allocations directed to fixed assets was formed domestic funds. Allocations directly spent for the execution of construction-installation works increased by 8.4% compared to the same period of 2014 and formed 7874.2 million manat.
During January-August 148.9 million tons cargo and 1211.2 million person passengers were transported by natural entities and enterprises engaged in transport and warehouse sector. In comparison with the corresponding period of 2014 cargo transportation increased by 0.7%, conveyance of passengers 3.6%. 3.1% of cargos were transported by sea, 7.8% by railway, 61.5% by automobile, 27.6% by pipeline transport. 87.9% of passengers were transported by automobile, 11.9% by metro and others with other types of transport. During the reporting period 107.4 million tons non-oil cargos were transported in transport sector and it was more than 2.5% compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
During eight months of current year services in amount of 1077.0 million manat were rendered to legal and natural entities by information and communication enterprises. Its 72.6% was concerning to population sector. Volume of information and communication services increased by 10.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and 81.1% of received income in this sector was share of non-state sector.
During January-August, 2015 product in amount of 15896.5 million manat were sold to population by retail trade network and paid services in amount of 4424.4 million manat were rendered by service enterprises. Compared to the corresponding period of 2014 commodity turnover increased by 11.3% and volume of paid services 6.3%. Food products in amount of 7929.8 million manat and non-food products in amount of 7966.7 million manat were sold in trade networks.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-July, 2015 volume of foreign trade turnover of the country was formed 12777.9 million US dollars. 7472.5 million dollars or 58.5% of commodity turnover was formed exported products, 5305.4 million dollars (41.5%) imported products and positive balance in amount of 2167.1 million dollars was established at the result of imports exceed exports. Compared to the corresponding period of 2014 volume of foreign trade turnover increased by 4.0%, as well as, export 2.7%, import 7.7%. 11.3% of commodity turnover was carried out with CIS member countries, 48.5% with EU countries, 40.2% with other countries.
22.0% of imported goods was share of CIS member countries, 29.3% of EU countries, 48.7% of other countries.
3.8% of exported goods was sent to CIS member countries, 62.2% to EU countries, 34.0% to other countries.
In January-July export of non-oil products compared to the corresponding period of the last year increased by 11.4% and formed 973.4 million dollars.
In August compared to July prices and service tariffs of consumer goods decreased by 0.1% as well as, prices of food products 0.3%, prices of paid services rendered to population 0.1% and prices of non-food products increased by 0.1%.
In January-August of the current year prices of consumer goods and services increased by 3.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 as well as, prices of food products 6.0%, prices of non-food products 3.0% and prices of paid services rendered to population 1.2%.
During January-July average monthly nominal salary of employments increased by 4.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and became to 458.9 manat.
In January-August, 2015 nominal income of population increased by 5.9% and reached to 26.7 milliard manat. 75.0% of income was spent to final consumption, 9.5% to taxes, social insurance and membership dues and 12.7% to increasing of savings, 2.8% for payment of credit interests.
According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, in January-July, 2015 state budget received fund in amount of 9.4 milliard manat and means in amount of 10.0 milliard manat were spent from budget, budget deficit in amount of 595.7 million manat established in execution of budget was equal to 1.9% of gross domestic products. 4.4 milliard manat of budget expenses was directed to the development and regulation of the economy, 1.2 milliard manat to education and health, 1.1 milliard manat to social protection and social security sector, 3.3 milliard manat to financing of other sectors.
According to the data of Central Bank till the 1st August of 2015 credit in amount of 20.2 milliard manat equivalent was given to natural and legal entities by banks, non-bank credit institutions and credit unions of the country, its 78.1% or 15.77 milliard manat was long-term credits. Volume of given credits increased by 18.5% compared to the 1st of August, 2014. 6.4% of credits payment was expired.
Compared to the same period of previous year amount of deposits of population in banks have been increased by 9.6% and reached to 7.6 milliard manat for the state of 1st August, 2015.
In August average exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 1.05 manat (0.99 manat since the beginning of the year), 1 Euro 1.17 manat (1.10) and 100 Russian rouble 1.61 manat (1.72).
Number of population since the beginning of the year increased by 61.9 thousand person or 0.6% and for the state of 1 August, 2015 it was reached to 9654.9 thousand person.
