Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January-July, 2015

During January-July, 2015 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in amount of 32.1 milliard manat or more than 5.6% compared to corresponding period of last year was produced by the enterprises and organizations and natural entities operating in the country. 35.0% of GDP was established in industry, 12.5% in in trade, in field of accommodation of tourists and catering sectors, 13.6% in construction complex, 5.7% in transport, 6.0% in agriculture, 1.9% in communication and 17.2 % in other fields. Net of tax to the product and import was formed 8.1% of GDP.
Value added in non-oil sector compared to the same period of 2014 increased by 9.0% and 1.0% in oil-gas sector.
In January-July, 2015 in amount of 15.8 milliard manat or more than 3.5% compared with the corresponding period of last year industrial products were produced by industrial enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field. Production output in mining sector increased by 2.0% as well as, output of marketable gas 10.6% and production of oil decreased by 1.8%.
63.8% of industry product was produced in mining sector, 28.5% in processing sector, 6.9% in distribution and supply on electricity, gas and steam, 0.8% in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production of food products in processing sector increased by 3.5%, production of oil products 4.8%, chemical industry 2.2 times, printing activity 77.2%, production of construction materials14.8%, metallurgical industry 7.8%, production of ready metal products 40.7%, production of electrical equipment 38.7%.
Production output in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply has been increased by 3.8%.
Production output in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased by 5.4%.
In non-oil sector of industry production output increased by 14.7% and 0.1% in oil-gas sector.
99.8% of produced products were sent to consumers. However, for the state of 1August, 2015 considering the balance of the previous periods there were ready products in amount of 306.5 million manat in warehouses of industrial enterprises.
Till the 1st of August in agriculture sector 99.3% or 909.1 thousand hectare of sowing area with winter and spring cereals and legumes (excluding maize) were reaped and 2768.5 thousand tons products were taken from that fields. On average the product obtained on per capita increased by 7.7 centner and formed 30.5 centner. Besides that, 14.8 thousand tons product was taken from maize sowing area with 3.9 thousand hectare.
506.8 thousand tons or more than 40.7 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period of the last year potato, 765.4 thousand tons (more than 47.6 thousand tons) vegetable, 356.4 thousand tons (more than 31.3 thousand tons) market garden crops, 179.7 thousand tons (more than 3.1thousand tons) fruit and berry, 3201 tons (more than 27 tons) grape, 363.6 tons (more than 47 tons) green tea leaf, 1495.8 tons (more than 250 tons) tobacco were gathered from fields.
During this period 256.9 thousand tons or more than 1.8% compared to January-July, 2014 meat in live weight, 1144.8 thousand tons (more than 3.7%) milk, 898.0 million unit (more than 1.0%) eggs, 15.6 thousand tons (more than 1.8%) wool were produced.
Compared to January-July of the last year production of plant-growing products increased by 15.8%, production of cattle-breeding 2.4%, total products of agriculture 8.9%.
Allocation in amount of 9368.5 million manat or more than 3.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year were directed to fixed assets in January-July, 2015. 6259.6 million manat or 66.8% of used allocation was spent to the construction of production facilities. 5494.0 million manat of funds directed to fixed assets was formed domestic funds. Allocations directly spent for the execution of construction-installation works increased by 11.6% compared to the same period of 2014 and formed 6998.2 million manat.
By the account of funds allocated from different sources during January-July it was completed the construction of dwelling houses with 1039.2 thousand square meter, ambulatory-polyclinic institutions which allows serve 180 persons, secondary schools with 4908 pupils place, pre-school institutions with 442 places, club and cultural centres with 280 places. As well as followings were given into use: in Baku city - “White city-1”, “Hazi Aslanov”, “Kurdakhani with 110 kV” and 7 electric power substations with 35 kV, Baku Olympic Stadium, Water Sport Palace, Shooting Centre, Velopark, European Games Park, Athletes and Media villages, Baku Congress Centre, “Qafqaz Baku Sport Hotel” hotel complex, “Boulevard Hotel”, “Dalga Beach-Aqua Park”, family recreation center, bridge connecting Baku ring road highway in the area of the International Bus Station and the road leading to the Shooting Complex, in Sumgayit city - Concrete Plant and “Alyans Tekstil” sewing factory, in Astara region - Degadi-Palikash highway, in Barda region - Mollaisalar-Valiushaghı-Mollaahmadli-Sarkarlar highway, in Gusar region - “Park Chalet Shahdag” hotel and others.
During January-July 126.4 million tons cargo and 1041.8 million person passengers were transported by the natural entities and transport enterprises engaged in transport sector. In comparison with the corresponding period of 2014 cargo transportation increased by 1.4%, conveyance of passengers 3.7%. Cargo transportation by air transport increased by 8.5%, conveyance of passengers by automobile transport and by metri increased by 3.7%, and by air transport 2.8%.
During seven months of current year services in amount of 937.2 million manat were rendered to population, enterprises and organizations by information and communication enterprises. Volume of information and communication services increased by 10.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2014, 72.6% of services were rendered to population and 81.0% of received income was share of non-state sector.
During January-July, 2015 consumer goods in amount of 13979.2 million manat were sold from retail trade network and paid services in amount of 3814.3 million manat were rendered by service enterprises. Compared to the corresponding period of 2014 commodity turnover increased by 12.5% and volume of paid services 6.7%. Food, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 6943.7 million manat and non-food products in amount of 7035.5 million manat was sent to the country residents from retail trade network.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-June, 2015 trade operations in amount of 10930.1 million dollars were conducted with foreign countries by the natural and legal entities of the country. 57.0% or 6231.5 million dollars of commodity turnover was exported goods, 43.0% (4698.6 million dollars) imported goods and positive balance in amount of 1532.9 million dollars was established. Volume of foreign trade turnover compared to the same period of 2014 increased by 4.1%, as well as export 1.0%, import 12.6%. 11.7% or 1277.7 million dollars of commodity turnover carried out with CIS member countries, 46.9% or 5130.6 million dollars with EU countries, 41.4% (4521.8 million dollars) with other countries.
22.0% or 1031.9 million dollars of imported goods was share of CIS member countries, 28.2% or 1325.4 million dollars of EU countries, 49.8% (2341.3 million dollars) of other countries.
3.9% or 245.8 million dollars of exported goods was sent to CIS member countries, 61.1% or 3805.2 million dollars to EU countries, 35.0% (2180.5 million dollars) to other countries.
In January-June export of non-oil products compared to the corresponding period of the last year increased by 16.0% and formed 870.6 million dollars.
From non-oil products export of agricultural goods was increased by 6.1% and export of industrial goods 18.0%.
In July compared to June prices and service tariffs of consumer goods decreased by 0.7% as well as, prices of food products 1.7% and prices of non-food products remained at the same level as the previous month.
In January-July of the current year prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 3.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 as well as, prices of food products 5.8%, prices of non-food products 2.9% and service tariffs 1.2%.
During January-June average monthly salary of employed increased by 4.0% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and became to 457.2 manat.
In January-July, 2015 income of country population increased by 6.4% and reached to 23.6 milliard manat. 74.1% of income was spent to final consumption, 9.3% to taxes, social insurance and membership dues and 14.0% to increasing of savings, 2.6% for payment of credit interests.
According to the data of the Ministry of Finance, in January-June, 2015 state budget received fund in amount of 7.8 milliard manat and means in amount of 8.6 milliard manat were spent from budget, budget deficit in amount of 770.9 million manat established in execution of budget was equal to 2.9% of gross domestic products. 4.0 milliard manat of budget expenses was directed to the development of economy, 1.0 million manat to social protection and social security and 945.4 million manat to education and health.
Credit in amount of 20.3 milliard manat equivalent was given to natural and legal entities by finance-credit organizations of the country till the 1st July of 2015. The volume of given credits increased by 21.1% compared to the 1st of July, 2014, its 78.1 % or 15.8 milliard manat was long-term. 1.3 milliard manat or 6.6% of credits payment was expired.
Compared to the same period of previous year amount of deposits of population in banks have been increased by 13.9% and reached to 7.7 milliard manat for the state of 1st July, 2015.
In July exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 1.05 manat, 1 Euro 1.16 manat and 100 Russian rouble 1.84 manat, since the beginning of the year it was correspondingly was equal to 0.98 manat, 1.10 manat and 1.73 manat.
