Number and average monthly salary of employees in the transport and communication enterprises in the 1st half of 2015

In January-June of the current year average number of employees engaged in transport enterprises formed 68.9 thousand. 70.5% of them worked in state enterprises, 29.5% in private sector. 50.2 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 10.0 % in water, 17.9% in air transport and 21.9% in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary of transport workers compared to January-June, 2014 increased by 0.9 % and became 544.0 manat. This indicator in sea transport was formed 1052.0 manat and in air transport (818.7 manat), in metro transport (583.2 manat), in automobile transport (397.7 manat) and 250.3 manat in railway transport. Salary in sea transport increased by 44.3%, in air transport 5.0%, in railway transport 16.7% and in pipeline transport 1.4%.
Number of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises was 26.4 thousand persons, average monthly salary of per employee increased by 2.8 % and became 746.8 manat.
