Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January, 2015

Gross Domestic Product in amount of 3.6 milliard manat was produced in January and it was more than 4.4% compared to the level of corresponding period. 48.0% of value added was produced in the product output fields, 42.0% in service fields, 10.0% of it was share of net taxes to product and import.
2.6 milliard manat or 70.5% of value added produced in non-oil sector and compared to January of last year it was increased by 5.5% and in oil sector3.1%.
Industry products in amount of 1.8 milliard manat or more than 1.4% as in the corresponding period of 2014 were produced in January, 2015 by industry enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field. Product output in mining sector of industry increased by 4.4%, as well as oil production 2.1% and marketable gas production 7.0%.
According to the classification on types of economic activity 58.1% of industry product were produced in mining sector, 30.2% in processing sector and 10.7% in production, distribution and supply section of electricity, gas and steam, 1.0% in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
In the section of processing production of beverage increased by 8.0%, production of chemical products 33.7%, rubber and plastic products 19.3%, production of ready metal products 2.7%, production of construction materials 54.8%, production of electric equipment 85.2%, production of automobile and trailers 10.5 times, production of other transport means 74.3%.
Production output in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply of industry increased by 3.0%, electricity production 4.2% and it became to 2.2 milliard kVt hours.
Production output in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased by 10.9%.
Production output in the field of non-oil sector decreased by 1.8% but in oil sector it was increased by 2.6%.
Along with the preparation for spring-field works in agriculture during January 36.6 thousand tons live weight meat were produced, 143.0 thousand tons milk, 135.2 million unit eggs and 3.0 thousand tons vegetable. Production of meat increased by 0.8% compared to corresponding period of 2014, milk production 6.8%, egg production 9.5% and vegetable production 6.1%, total product of agriculture 3.5%.
During January resources in amount of 682.7 million manat or more than 2.9 % were used in construction complex of the country compared to January of last year and 502.2 million manat of it was spent for the execution of construction works. 259.4 million manat of funds directed to fixed assets came from local resources.
By the account of funds allocated from different sources during January completed the construction of dwelling houses with 121.2 thousand square metre, ambulatory-polyclinic institutions which allows serve 45 persons, pre-school institutions with 50 places. As well as followings were given into use: in Sumgayit city Concrete Plant and “Alyans Tekstil” sewing factory, in Gusar region “Park Chalet Shahdag” hotel.
127.3 thousand new as well as 105.1 thousand permanent job places were opened in the first year of third State Program on socio-economic development of regions covering 2014-2018.
In January 17.2 million tons cargo and 137.6 million person passengers were transported by enterprises engaged in transport complex and natural persons, compared to corresponding period of 2014 cargo transportation increased by 3.2 % and conveyance of passengers 4.1%. Cargo transportation by automobile transport increased by 2.7%, by air transport 16.4%, conveyance of passengers by automobile transport increased by 3.8%, by metro 5.6%, by air transport 3.0%.
Volume of rendered services to population, office and organization by information and communication enterprises in January increased by 13.9% compared to corresponding period of last year and formed 133.6 million manat.
In January consumer goods in amount of 1820.8 million manat were sold from retail trade network and paid services in amount of 615.5 million manat were rendered by service enterprises. Compared to January, 2014 commodity turnover increased by 9.4%, volume of paid services 5.5%, country residents bought food products, beverages and tobacco products in amount of 913.8 million manat and non-food products in amount of 907.0 million manat from retail trade network.
According to the data of State Customs Committee in 2014 trade operations in amount of 31.0 milliard dollars were conducted with foreign countries by the natural and legal entities of the country. 70.4% or 21.8 milliard dollars of commodity turnover was exported goods, 29.6% (9.2 milliard dollars) imported goods and positive balance in amount of 12.6 milliard dollars was formed. 90.6% or 28.1 milliard dollars of commodity turnover carried out with far foreign countries, 9.4% (2.9 milliard dollars) with CIS member countries.
77.3% or 7.1 milliard dollars of imported goods to the country received from far foreign countries, 22.7% (2.1 milliard dollars) from CIS member countries. 28.1% of imported goods were machines, mechanisms, electro technique equipment, apparatus, 8.8% dry-road vehicles, flying apparatus, floating transport means, 13.6% semi-precious metals and manufactured products from them, 4.6% pearls, precious stones and metals, products made from them, 9.7% food products, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, vinegar, tobacco, 7.8% products of chemical industry, 4.6% plant growing and etc.
96.2% or 21.0 milliard dollars of exported goods from the country sent to far foreign countries, 3.8% (0.8 milliard dollars) to CIS member countries. Among the exported goods sent to foreign countries has been dominated by mineral products. Besides this, also plant growing, food, products of chemical industry, semi-precious metals and manufactured products from them, plastics, rubber and manufactured products from them and etc. were exported from the country.
Commodity turnover most of all were realized with Italy Germany, Indonesia, Russian, Israel, Turkey, France, USA, Great-Britain and Thailand.
Last year export of non-oil products formed 1.7 milliard manat.
Humanitarian and technical aid in amount of 49.6 million dollars was received by the country in 2014.
Taking into account the data received from SOCAR and AIOC foreign trade turnover was formed 39.5 milliard dollars, as well as, export 30.3 milliard dollars, and positive balance in amount of 21.1 milliard dollars was created.
During January Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 0.2% compared to December, 2014, as well as, prices of food products 0.4%, prices of non-food products and service tariffs were not changed. Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 0.2% compared to January, 2014, as well as, prices of non-food products 0.2%, service tariffs 0.8% and prices of food products decreased by 0.4%.
During January prices of mutton, beef and chicken, egg, lemon, orange, banana, greens, beet, carrot was decreased and prices of rice, wheat, flour, apple, pear, quince, pomegranate, date, cabbage, cucumber, tomato, potato, onion, garlic was increased.
In 2014 average monthly salary/wage of employed increased by 4.5% compared to previous year and became to 444.3 manat and income of per population in January, 2015 increased by 4.2% compared to January of previous year and became to 282.9 manat.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance, in 2014 state budget received fund in amount of 18.4 milliard manat and means in amount of 18.7 milliard manat were spent from budget. 298.8 million manat surplus between income and expenditure of budget was equal to 0.5 % of gross domestic product.
Credit in amount of 18.5 milliard manat was given to natural and legal entities by finance-credit organizations of the country until the 1January, 2015. The volume of given credits increased by 20.2% compared to 1 January, 2014, 78.8 % or 14.6 milliard manat of it was long-term. 976.3 million manat or 5.3% of credits payment was expired.
Amount of deposits of population in banks during a year increased by 12.4% and reached to 7.2 milliard manat for the state of 1 January.
During January exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 0.78 manat, 1 Euro 0.9 manat and 100 Russian rouble 1.24 manat.
