Mass sowing of winter grain crops is continued in the fields of the country. For the state of 1st of December of the current year winter crops were sown in the area with 822.3 thousand hectare, including winter crops for grain were sown in the area with 806.6 thousand hectare. 502.8 thousand hectare (62.3%) of winter crops for grain was formed wheat and 303.8 thousand hectare (37.7%) barley.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2013 sowing area of winter crops for grain decreased by 11.5%, as well as sowing of wheat (17.2%) and sowing of barley 0.1%. More detailed information on sowing of winter crops were presented in the following table.
