In the field of production output and service, as well as, taking account net taxes to product and import in January in amount of 4.5 milliard manat Gross Domestic Product were produced and it was 0.8% higher than the level of corresponding period of last year. 60.4 % of value added produced in the field of product output, 32.9% in the fields of service and 6.7 % was share of net taxes to product and import. On average production of gross domestic product for per resident of the country was 465.6 manat (593.6 US dollars).
53.8 % of value added produced by the non-oil increased by 7.7% compared to January of last year and it was decreased by 6.0% in oil sector.
In amount of 2.8 milliard manat or less than 4.0% as in the corresponding period of 2013 industry products were produced in January, 2014 by the industry enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field. The main reason of it was decreasing of product output by 4.6% in mining sector of industry, as well as, 5.1% in oil production. In addition marketable gas production was increased by 6.7%.
According to the classification on types of economic activity 72.7% of industry product were produced in mining sector, 19.7% in processing sector and 7.0% in the production, distribution and supply section of electricity, gas and steam, 0.6% in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production of food products in the section of mining on industry increased by 0.8%, production of clothing – 39.8%, production of textile industry – 22.3%, production of chemical products – 26.0%, production of ready metal products 14.6%, production of construction materials – 7.8%, production of metallurgy industry products– 44.9%, production of machine and its equipment – 2.0%, production of other transport means – 3.5 times.
Production output in the sector of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply of industry increased by 1.0%, electricity production 3.0% and it became to 2.1 milliard kVt hours.
Production output in the sector of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased by 7.2%.
Production output in the field of non-oil sector increased by 5.6% but in oil sector it was decreased by 5.2%.
Along with the preparation for spring-field works in agriculture during January 36.3 thousand tons live weight meat were produced, 133.9 thousand tons milk, 123.5 million unit eggs and 2837.3 tons vegetable. Production of meat increased by 2.4% compared to corresponding period of 2013, milk production – 3.2%, egg production – 11.1%, vegetable production – 10.4%, total product of agriculture – 3.3%.
During January in amount of 660.7 million manat or more than 6.3 % resources were used in construction complex of the country compared to January of last year and 378.5 million manat of it was spent for the execution of construction works. 444.5 million manat of funds directed to fixed assets came from local resources, 58.8% (388.6 million manat) of it was spent to the construction of production facilities.
By the account of funds allocated from different sources during January completed the construction of dwelling houses with 120.5 thousand square metre, secondary schools with 360 places for pupils, pre-school institutions with 50 places. As well as followings were given into use: inBaku city – Health Centre, in Gabala region first round of “Tufan Alpine Skiing Summer and Winter Recreation Complex”, in Goygol region – Olympic Sport Complex and Youth Centre.
According to primary data during 2013 country received 10.5 milliard US dollars foreign investment from foreign countries and their companies and 46.8% of it directed to the oil sector.
471.0 thousand new, as well as 358.2 thousand permanent job places were opened at the result of second state program on social-economic development of regions covering 2009-2013. 109.9 thousand new job places were created in 2013, 83.0 thousand of them were permanent job places.
In January 16.5 million tons cargo and 132.2 million person passengers were transported by enterprises engaged in transport complex and natural persons, compared to corresponding period of 2013 cargo transportation increased by 0.7 % and conveyance of passengers – 6.2%. Cargo transportation by automobile transport increased by 5.7%, by air transport – 29.9%, conveyance of passengers by automobile transport increased by 7.0%, by metro – 1.5%, by air transport –5.8%.
Volume of rendered services to population, office and organization by information and communication enterprises in January increased by 12.7% compared to corresponding period of last year and formed 121.8 million manat.
In January in amount of 1665.9 million manat consumer goods were sold from retail trade network and in amount of 578.8 million manat paid services were rendered by service enterprises. Compared to January, 2013 commodity turnover increased by 9.3%, volume of paid services – 7.8%, country residents bought in amount of 900.3 million manat food products, beverages and tobacco products and in amount of 765.6 million manat non-food products from retail trade network.
Along with the increase of commodity turnover inside of the country foreign trade relation is also expanding rapidly. According to the data of State Customs Committee in 2013 in amount of 34.7 milliard dollars trade operations were conducted with foreign countries by the natural and legal entities of the country. 69.1 % or 24.0 milliard dollars of commodity turnover was exported goods, 30.9% (10.7 milliard dollars) – imported goods, in amount of 13.3 milliard dollars positive balance was formed. 88.3% or 30.6 milliard dollars of commodity turnover carried out with far foreign countries, 11.7% (4.1 milliard dollars) - with CIS member countries.
76.2% or 8.1 milliard dollars of imported goods to the country received from far foreign countries, 23.8% (2.6 milliard dollars) – from CIS member countries. 25.7% of imported goods were machines, mechanisms, electro technique equipment’s, apparatus, 13.4% - dry-road vehicles, flying apparatus, floating transport means, 12.1% - semi-precious metals and manufactured products from them, 8.7% pearls, precious stones and metals, products made from them, 7.6% - food products, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, vinegar, tobacco, 7.0% - products of chemistry industry, 5.1% – plant growing and etc.
93.7% or 22.5 milliard dollars of exported goods from the country sent to far foreign countries, 6.3% (1.5 milliard dollars) to CIS member countries. Among the exported goods sent to foreign countries has been dominated by mineral products. Besides this, also plant growing, food, products of chemistry industry, semi-precious metals and manufactured products from them, plastics, rubber and manufactured products from them, pearls and etc. were exported from the country.
Commodity turnover most of all were realized with Italy, Indonesia, Russian, Germany, Turkey, Great-Britain, Thailand, France, USA, Israel.
Last year export of non-oil products were increased by 6.0%.
In amount of 30.7 million dollars humanitarian and technical aid was received by country in 2013.
Taking into account the data received from SOCAR and AIOC foreign trade turnover was formed 43.5 milliard dollars, as well as, export – 32.8 milliard dollars, in amount of 22.1 milliard dollars positive balance was created.
During January Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods decreased by 0.2% compared to December, 2013, as well as, service tariffs – 0.9%, prices of food products increased by 0.2%, prices of non-food products were not changed. Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 2.2% compared to January, 201, as well as, prices of food products – 2.6%, prices of non-food products – 3.5%, service tariffs – 0.2%.
During January from food products the prices of chicken, orange, banana, carrot, potato, from non-food products price of textiles, wallpapers, construction bricks, metal tiles was decreased.
In 2013 average monthly salary/wage of employed increased by 6.2% compared to previous year and became to 423.0 manat and income of per population in January, 2014 increased by 2.5% compared to January of previous year and became to 279.7 manat.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance, in 2013 state budget received fund in amount of 19.5 milliard manat and in amount of 19.1 milliard manat means spent from budget. 351.1 million manat surplus between income and expenditure of budget was equal to 0.6 % of gross domestic product.
In amount of 15.4 milliard manat credit were given to natural and legal entities by finance-credit organizations of the country until the 1January, 2014. The volume of given credits increased by 26.0% compared to 1 January, 2013, 78.4 % or 12.1 milliard manat of it was long-term. 792.8 million manat or 5.1% of credits payment was expired.
Amount of deposits of population in banks during a year increased by 25.1% and reached to 6.4 milliard manat for the state of 1 January.
During January exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 0.78 manat, 1 Euro – 1.07 manat and 100 Russian rouble – 2.34 manat.
