Demographic situation in Azerbaijan
From the beginning of the year number of country population increased by 55.3 thousand persons and to the state of 1 July 2013 reached to 9411.8 thousand person. Density of population made 109 persons per square km. 53.1% of population live in urban areas and 46.9% in rural areas, 49.7 % of population is men, 50.3% - women. 22.3% of population aged 0-14, 71.9 % - aged 15-64, 5.8% - aged 65 and over. At the moment there are 1000 women per 1013 men.
83.1 thousand or every day on average 459 infants were born in the first half of current year. Birth rate by the account of per 1000 person of population was 18.1%. 53.6% of births were boys, 46.4% - girls. 876 of infants were twins, 15 – triplets. For the infants born in current year life expectancy is 73.9 years, as well as, for boys 71.3, for girls 76.6.
On average 2.3 born children are per the share of reproductive women in the country and that provides reproduction of population.
From the beginning of the year 28.8 thousand deaths were registered in the country and death by the account of per 1000 persons was remained at the same level (6.2) and not changed compared to the corresponding period of last year.
During January-June 37.9 thousand marriage and 5.7 thousand divorce were registered in the country and compared to the corresponding period of 2012 number of marriages increased from 7.4 till 8.2 and divorces was remained at the same level (1.2). For permanent residence within six months of the year 2013, 1.1 thousand persons came to Azerbaijan, and 0, 1 thousand persons left the country.
