68.4 thousand employees engaged in transport enterprises in 2012. 74.8% of them were worked in state enterprises, 25.2% in private sector. 55.0 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 14.5 % in water, 7.9 % air transport and 22.6 % in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary/wage of transport workers compared to 2011 increased by 12.8 % and became 504.1 manat. This indicator in air transport was formed 988.4 manat, in sea transport – 704.4 manat, in automobile transport – 464.4 manat and 225.8 manat in railway transport. Salary/wage in sea transport increased by 19.7 %, in railway transport – 13.5%, in air transport – 5.9%, in automobile transport – 6.7%.
Numbers of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises were 25.9 thousand persons, average monthly salary/wage of per employee increased by 8.0 % and became 621.8 manat.
