Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January-November, 2012

During eleven months of 2012 production of GDP increased by 1.2% compared corresponding period of last year and reached to 48.2 milliard manat. 50.5 % of value added produced in the field of industry, 9.9% in construction complex, 5.7% in agriculture, 4.8% in transport and 8.2% in trade and in the field of paid service, 1.8% in the communication and 12.7% in other fields.
For per capita in amount of 5253.9 manat (6686.8 US dollars) value added was produced.
Production of GDP increased by 9.7% in non-oil sector and it was decreased by 6.5% in oil sector.
Production output in the field of industry decreased by 3.3% compared to January-November of last year, 75.7% or 23.5 milliard manat of product produced in the mining section, 18.8% or 5.8 milliard manat in the processing section, 4.9% or 1.5 milliard manat in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 0.6% or 173.5 million manat in the water supply, waste management and remediation activities.
During January-November from the products of mining section 39.4 million ton oil and 15.7 milliard cubic metre gas was extracted.
Output of food products from the products of procession section increased by 3.2%, production of beverage 8.6%, output of products on weaving industry – 72.2%, manufacture of clothing – 32.9%, production of leather, leather products and shoes – 9.1%, paper and paperboard production – 30.4%, manufacture of polygraphy products 2.5% times, manufacture of plastic products – 2.5 times, output of construction materials – 18.1%, production of metallurgy industry products – 17.6%, output of ready metal products – 60.4%, output of computer and other electronic equipments – 7.1 times, output of electric equipments – 77.3%, output of other transport means –24.6%, output of furniture – 2.6 times, installation and maintenance of machine and its equipments –34.0%.
In the beginning of the year 18.5 milliard kilowatt-hour electricity energy was produced in the power stations of the country.
Production of industry products decreased by 5.3% in the oil sector and it was increased by 7.4% in the non-oil sector.
Gathering of plant-growing in the section of agrarian is nearing completion. Until 1st December including maize 2802.2 thousand tons grain 968.5 thousand tons potato, 1198.2 thousand tons vegetable, 54.6 thousand tons cotton, 802.2 thousand tons fruit and berry, 427.8 thousand tons market-garden crops, 147.3 thousand tons grape, 120.7 thousand tons sugar-beet, 4.3 thousand tons tobacco, 550.3 tons green tea leafs were gathered and 434.3 thousand tons meat in live weight, 1576.7 thousand tons milk, 1100.6 million units egg and 16.2 thousand tons wool were produced. Excluding market-garden crops and sugar beet production of plant–growing crops and live - stock products increased compared to last year.
In value expression production of plant-growing products increased by 5.8%, live - stock products – 5.5% and total production of agriculture – 5.7%.
For the product of 2012 in the area of 998.8 thousand hectare tillage was raised, in the field of 900.1 thousand hectare grain and winter crops for green forage, as well as, in the field of 619.3 thousand hectare – wheat, in the area of 270.7 thousand hectare barley was sowed.
For development of economic and social fields 12.6 milliard manat were directed to fixed assets from all financial sources and building and assembly jobs in amount of 7.6 milliard manat were implemented.
77.2 percent or 9.7 milliard manat of fixed assets were the domestic investments. In comparison with the corresponding period of last year, 24.0 percent of amount of funds directed to fixed capital, including funds spent for construction works increased by 22.7 percent. 45.1 % or 5.7 milliard manat of investment were spent on construction of production facilities. In the beginning of the year equal to the total area 1559.5 thousand square metre dwellings was put into operation as well as secondary schools with 29908 places for pupils, hospital with 15 beds, ambulatory-polyclinic institutions which allows serve 861 persons, pre-school institutions with 985 places, club with 140 places, in Baku city –Metal structures Plant, Center of Heydar Aliyev, “Baku Crystal Hall” Sport-Concert Complex, “Qafqaz Baku City Hotel and Residence” and “JW Marriott Absheron”, “Four Seasons” hotels, New Training Complex of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, new Training Complex of Baku branch of Moscow State University named M.V.Lomonosov, reconstruction of Republic Stadium named Tofig Bahramov, “8KM” Stadium, Stadium in Bina District, Zira Sport Complex, Polyclinic in Nakhchivan and Nakhchivan-Julfa highway, “Azguntex” plant in Sumgait, heavy engineering and manufacturing centers plant in Technological Park of Sumgait, Olympic Sport Complex in Astara, Kijaba-Ojakeran and Kijaba-Gacimarda highway, Beylagan-Kabirli-Baharabad highway in Beylagan, Bakery in Barda, Yevlakh-Barda highway, Mill and Grain Storage Complex in Jalilabad, Olympic Sport Complex, “Kraun-co” grain storage complex in Imishli, Cannery in Gazakh, Central Hospital in Gusar, “Shaki Palace” hotel in Shaki, Milk Processing Plant in Tartar, “Ayan Palace” hotel in Tovuz, Regional Information Agency in Yevlakh and others.
For the continuation of constructions built in previous and current years from funds provided by the state budget during eleven months were used 5468.9 million manat.
192.6 million ton cargo and 1.5 milliard passengers transported by the natural entities engaged in transport enterprises and motor transport means and compared to previous year cargo transportation increased by 3.4%, passenger transportation – 8.4 %.
On January-October the cargo in amount of 47.0 million manats was transported through the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor and 36.5% of income in amount 423.8 million manats received from cargo as well as passenger transportation were due to functioning of railway, 17.4% - sea way and 46.1% - motor transport.
One of the fastest growing areas of the country's economic and social life is information and communication From the beginning of the year employees of this field provided communication services to population, enterprises and organizations in amount of 1.3 milliard manat or 16.8 percent more than corresponding period of last year. 72.1 % or 923.2 million manat of services provided to population and increased by 20.4 %.
During January-November in amount of 15.4 milliard manat or more than 9.4% compared to corresponding period were sold consumer goods and in amount of 5.1 milliard manat or more than 7.9% paid services were provided. 8.6 milliard manat or 55.7% of sold products were food products and 6.8 milliard manat – non-food products.
12.8% of trade turnover implemented by trade organizations operating as legal entity, 39.9% - markets and fairs, 47.3 % - natural entities without establishing of legal entity.
According to the data of State Customs Committee during January-October governmental and non-governmental organizations of the country and other natural entities carried out foreign trade operations with 150 countries in amount of 27.4 milliard US dollars.
19.7 milliard dollars or 72.0% of foreign trade turnover was exported goods and 7.7 milliard dollars or 28.0 % - imported goods. 89.8 % or 24.6 milliard dollars of trade relations carried out with far foreign countries, 10.2 % (2.8 milliard dollars) with CIS member countries.
95.2 % of exported goods sent to far foreign countries, 4.8 % - to CIS member countries and the main part of its made up mineral products, food products, chemical and petrochemical industry products.
Most part of imported products (75.9 %) received from far foreign countries.
Among the imported goods car and mechanisms, precious metals manufactured products prepared from them; food products, wood and paper, pasteboard products prepared from it, chemical industry products and mineral products were dominated.
Thus, during 10 months at the result of import-export operation was formed positive balance in amount of 12.1 milliard dollars, as well as, in amount of 13.0 milliard dollars with far foreign countries, and in amount of 906.7 million dollars negative balance was created with CIS member countries.
During January-October country received in amount of 27.8 million dollars humanitarian and technical aid.
In November prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 1.0% compared to October, during eleven months compared to corresponding period of last year – 1.2 %. In November compared to October the price of food products increased by 1.9 %, non-food products – 0.3%, service tariffs – 0.1 %. During the beginning of the year the last time prices of food products increased by 1.0% percent, the price of non-food products – 1.1 % and service tariffs – 1.3 %.
During January-November income of population increased by 13.7 % - (29.9 milliard manat) compared to corresponding period of last year, per capita amount of it increased by 12.2 % (3260.5 manat). 64.0 % of income spent on final consumption, 8.3 % - taxes, social insurance and voluntary payment of membership fees, 26.1 % - increase of savings and capital. Disposable income of households remained was 27.4 milliard manat and it increased by 14.0 % compared to corresponding period of last year.
Average monthly salary/wage of employees engaged in economic and social fields of country compared to January-October 2011 increased by 9.0 % and made 390.2 manat. Salary/wage of employees engaged in industry field was 597.1 manat, construction complex – 569.5 manat, transport- 497.3 manat and information and communication – 620.3 manat.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance during January- October state budget received 14.2 milliard manat and means in amount of 12.2 milliard manat spent from budget. 41.0 % or 5.0 milliard manat of budget expenditure directed to the development of economy, 7.9 % (958.8 million manat) – education, 12.7 % (1547.5 million manat) – social protection and social security.
Between income and expenditure of budget created surplus equal to 4.6 % or 2016.1 million manat of gross domestic product.
Bank deposits of population for the state of 1 November compared to corresponding period of last year increased by 27.6 % and made 4.7 milliard manat, 2.7 milliard manat of it was by national currency and 1.8 milliard manat by foreign currency.
Finance-credit organizations of country until the 1 November gave credit in amount of 11.7 milliard manat, 71.2 % of it was long-term credit and 6.5 % - payment is expired.
In November average exchange rate of manat for US dollar was 0.78 manat, 1 Euro – 1.01 manat, 100 Russian rouble – 2.50 manat and from the beginning of the year correspondingly it was equal to 0.79, 1.01 and 2.53 manat.
