According to the results of sample survey on "Economic Activity of population"? carried out by the State Statistical Committee for the state of 1 July, 2012 number of employees engaged in country economy was 1620.6 thousand person.
As well as, average list number of employees adopted for the calculation of average monthly salary/wage on July was 1389.5 thousand person and 842.8 thousand persons of them were the employees of state sector of economy and 546.7 thousand persons were the employees of non-state sector.
23.4 % of employees are in engaged in education, 19.4 % in trade, in the area of repair on motor vehicles, 12.5 % in industry, 9.5 % in health and social services to population, 7.5 % in construction, 5.0 % in transport and warehouse and 3.2 % in professional, scientific and technical sphere, 3.1 % in agriculture, forestry and fishing sphere, 1.9 % in information and communication sphere and 14.5 % in other fields of economy.
Average monthly wage/salary of employees engaged in country economy was 396.6 manat in August, 2012. It is increased by 8.6 % compared to January-August of corresponding period of last year and became 387.5 manat. Compared to other types of activities average monthly wage/salary was higher in mining industry, in finance and insurance activity, in information and communication, in professional, scientific and technical sphere, in the field of transport and storage and in construction.
