Number and salary/wage of persons engaged in economy

     In May 2012 average list number of employees of enterprises and organizations were 1380.8 thousand person and 854.4 thousand of them are the employees of state sector of economy and 526.4 thousand are the employees of non-state sector.
     24.2 percent of employees are in engaged in education, 19.6 percent in trade, in the area of repair on motor vehicles, 12.3 percent in industry, 9.7 percent in health and social services to population, 6.8 percent in construction, 4.8 percent in transport and warehouse and 3.2 percent in professional, scientific and technical sphere, 2.9 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing sphere, 1.8 percent in information and communication sphere and 14.7 percent in other fields of economy.
     Average monthly wage/salary of employees engaged in country economy was 396.4 manat in May, 2012. It is increased by 8.4 percent compared to January-May of corresponding period of last year and became 382.6 manat. Compared to other types of activities average monthly wage/salary was higher in mining industry, in finance and insurance activity, in information and communication, in professional, scientific and technical sphere, in construction, in the field of administrative and subsidiary services.
