Macro-economic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January, 2012

In the field of production output and service, as well as, taking account net taxes to product and import in January 4.1 milliard manat Gross Domestic Product were produced and it was 1.2% higher than the level of corresponding period of last year. 68.0 % of value added produced in the field of product output, 27.4% in the field of service but 4.6 % was share of net taxes to product and import. On average production of gross domestic product for per resident of the country was 448.6 manat (570.5 US dollars).
42.9 % of value added produced by the non-oil increased by 5.9% compared to January of last year and 2.4% decreased in oil sector.
In amount of 3.1 milliard manat industry products were produced in January, 2012 or as in the corresponding period of 2011 by the industry enterprises and natural entities engaged in this field.
According to the classification on types of economic activity 77.9% of industry product were produced in mining sector, 15.8% in processing sector, and 5.8% in the production, distribution and supply section of electricity, gas and steam, 0.5% in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
Production output in the section of mining on industry - decreased by 2.8%, as well as 4.5% - oil production and marketable gas production increased by 32.9% and 3.9 million tons of oil and 1.6 milliard cubic meters gas was produced.
Production output in the section of processing of industry increased by 7.9%, production of food-stuffs from the products of section - 8.5%, production of products on weaving industry - 57.2%, printing activity - 47.0%, production of rubber and plastic manufactured products - 75.4%, production of metallurgy industry products - 84.6%, production of ready metal manufactured products - 95.8%, production of computer and other electronic equipments - 15.8 times, production of machine and its equipments - 30.6%, production of other transport means - 21.3%, production of furniture - 3.4 times, machine and installation of its equipments and repair - 6.3 times.
Production output in the section of electricity, gas and steam production, distribution and supply of industry increased by 25.3%, but the electricity production increased by 16.3% and 2.2 milliard kVt hour electricity were produced.
Production output in the unit of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities increased by 11.6%.
Production output in the field of non-oil sector increased by 14.4% but in oil sector decreased by 2.7%.
Along with the preparation for spring-field works in agriculture 34.7 thousand tons live weight meat were produced, 123.6 thousand tons milk, 92.4 million unit eggs and 2332 tons vegetable. Production of meat increased by 2.2% compared to corresponding period of 2011, milk production - 4.4%, egg production - 0.2%, vegetable production - 10.0%, total product of agriculture - 2.9%.
In amount of 459.4 million manat or 4.8 % more than January of last year resources were used in construction complex of country in January and 211.3 million manat of it was spent for the execution of construction works. 216.9 million manat of funds directed to fixed assets came from local resources, 56.5% (259.4 million manat) of it was spent to the construction of production facilities.
By the account of funds allocated from different sources during January completed the construction of dwelling houses with168.2 thousand square metre, Aluminum plant complex in Ganja city and Chess school in Goranboy region have been adopted into use.
According to primary data country received in amount of 8.7 milliard US dollars foreign investment from foreign countries and their companies and 39.3% of it directed to the oil sector.
In January 16.4 million tons cargo and 114.6 million person passenger transported by enterprises engaged in transport complex and natural persons, compared to corresponding period of 2011cargo transportation increased by 6.4%, conveyance of passengers - 8.3%. Cargo transportation by automobile transport increased by 7.2%, by railway - 10.5%, by sea transport - 12.0%, by pipeline - 2.8%, conveyance of passengers by automobile transport increased by 8.8%, by metro - 5.4%, by sea transport - 11.1%, by air transport - 22.9%.
Volume of rendered services to population, office and organization by information and communication enterprises in January increased by 21.8% compared to corresponding period of last year and formed 98.4 million manat.
In January in amount of 1360.3 million manat or 9.4 % more than corresponding period of 2011 consumer goods sold from retail trade network. Country residents bought in amount of 845.7 million manat food products and in amount of 514.6 million manat non-food products from retail trade network.
In amount of 478.3 million manat or 10.3% more than compared to corresponding period of 2011 paid services were rendered by service enterprises in January.
Along with the increase of commodity turnover inside of the country foreign trade relation is also expanding rapidly. In 2011 in amount of 36.3 milliard dollars trade operations were conducted with foreign countries by the natural and legal entities of the country. 73.1% or 26.6 milliard dollars of commodity turnover was exported goods, 26.9% (9.7 milliard dollars) - imported goods, in amount of 16.8 milliard dollars positive balance was formed. 84.9% or 30.8 milliard dollars of commodity turnover carried out with far foreign countries, 15.1% (5.5 milliard dollars) - with CIS member countries.
73.8% or 7.2 milliard dollars of imported goods to the country received from far foreign countries, 26.2% (2.5 milliard dollars) - from CIS member countries. 31.1% of imported goods were machines, mechanisms, electro technique equipments, apparatus, 17.3% - dry-road vehicles, flying apparatus, floating transport means, 13.6% - not valuable metals and manufactured products from them, 6.8% - food products, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, vinegar, tobacco, 6.4% - products of chemistry industry, 5.3% - plant growing and etc.
89.9% or 23.7 milliard dollars of exported goods from the country sent to far foreign countries, 11.0% (2.9 milliard dollars) to CIS member countries. Among the exported goods sent to foreign countries has been dominated by mineral products. Besides this, also plant growing, food, products of chemistry industry, not valuable metals and manufactured products from them, rubber, caoutchouc and manufactured products from them, pearls, precious stones and metals and manufactured products from them and etc. were exported from country.
Commodity turnover most of all were realized with Italy, Russian, France, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Belarus, Malaysia, China, Republic of Korea and Georgia.
In 2011 country received in amount of 32.7 million dollars humanitarian and technical aid.
During January Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 0.1% compared to December, 2011, as well as, prices of food products - 0.1% and prices of non-food products and service tariffs were in the level of December. Prices and service tariffs of consumer goods increased by 4.8% compared to January, 2011, as well as, prices of food products - 5.7%, prices of non-food products - 1.3%, service tariffs - 5.5%. During January from food products the prices of macaroni, vermicelli, chicken leg, cheese, egg, frozen fish, cabbage and etc. decreased.
From non-food products prices of raincoat from leather and waistcoat for woman, long-sleeved shirt, nitro paints, brick, cement and etc. decreased.
In 2011 average monthly salary/wage of employed increased by 9.5% (363.1 manat) compared to previous year, and income of per population in January, 2012 increased by13.2% compared to January of previous year and became to 226.1 manat.
According to the data of Ministry of Finance, in 2011 state budget received fund in amount of 15.7 milliard manat and in amount of 15.4 milliard manat means spent from budget. 306.0 million manat surplus between income and expenditure of budget was equal to 0.6 % of gross domestic product.
Finance-credit organizations of the country until the 1January, 2012 gave credit to natural and legal entities in amount of 10.0 milliard manat. The volume of given credits increased by 19.0% compared to 1 January, 2011, 69.3 % or 6.9 milliard manat of it was long-term. 633.8 million manat or 6.4% of credits payment was expired.
Amount of deposits of population in banks during a year increased by 36.0% and reached to 4.1 milliard manat to the state of 1 January.
During January exchange rate of national currency for 1 US dollar was equal to 0.79 manat, 1 Euro - 1.01 manat and 100 Russian rouble - 2.51 manat.
