76.3 % of employees engaged in transport enterprises from 64.7 thousand worked in state enterprises, 23.7% in private sector in 2011. 55.6 % of employees worked in surface and pipeline, 14.6% in water, 8.2% air transport and 21.6% in enterprises providing support and additional transport activities.
Average monthly salary/wage of transport workers compared to 2010 increased by 18.5% and became 447.0 manat. This indicator in air transport was formed 932.9 manat, in sea transport - 588.3 manat, in automobile transport - 435.2 manat. Salary/wage in air transport was observed with the growth by 36.3%, 12.8% in automobile transport, and 8.8% in sea transport. Numbers of employees engaged in information and communication enterprises were 24.6 thousand person, average monthly salary/wage of per employee increased by 10.4% and became 575.7 manat.
