For the state of March 1, 2023 number of employees engaged in the country economy compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 33,7 thsd. persons or 2,0 percent and made 1715,8 thsd. persons, 901,1 thsd. of them were the employees of the public sector and 814,8 thsd. persons were the employees of the non-public sector.

19,4 percent of employees were engaged in education, 18,8 percent in trade; repair of transport means, 12,8 percent in industry, 8,3 percent in health and social services provided to population, 6,7 percent in construction, 6,5 percent in public administration and defence; social security, 4,2 percent in transport and warehouse, 3,6 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3,5 percent in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2,0 percent in finance and insurance and 14,2 percent in other fields of economy.

On January-February 2023 average monthly nominal salary of employees engaged in the country economy increased by 11,2 percent and made 854,5 manats relatively to the corresponding period of the previous year. Average monthly nominal salary in the sphere of mining industry, finance and insurance, professional, scientific and technical activity as well as information and communication were higher.
