Road traffic accidents in January-June 2026
In January-June 2026, 533 road traffic accidents occurred, which was 7,6 percent less compared to the corresponding period of 2025, and as a result, number of persons affected in these accidents decreased by 15,1 percent and made 689 persons. Of them, 285 persons died and 404 persons were injured. 44,3 percent of accidents occurred at night, 38,6 percent during the daytime, and 17,1 percent during twilight. 34,3 percent of road traffic accidents occurred on Saturdays and Sundays.
83,7 percent of road traffic accidents occurred in settlements, and as a result of these accidents, the number of persons who died decreased by 9,9 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, amounting to 201 persons, while the number of persons injured decreased by 19,7 percent and made 379 persons.
