Azerbaijan's statistical experience presented in Minsk
An event on “A Statistical View of Society Through the Prism of Generations” was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, within the framework of the “Development of CIS Statistics” project.
During the three-day event, issues related to data collection and analysis, ensuring the comparability of statistical indicators, studying socio-economic processes across different population groups, as well as conducting current statistical accounting and statistical surveys were discussed. Within the framework of the event, presentations were made on the improvement of methodological and technological approaches, and participants exchanged experiences.
At the event, Elchin Haji, Head of the Department of Social Statistics and Rza Allahverdiyev, Head of the Department of Population Statistics of the State Statistical Committee presented on “The Educational Level of the Population in Azerbaijan” and “Generational Statistics in Azerbaijan: Socio-Economic Indicators of the Population by Age Groups”.
During the presentations, the participants were presented with key demographic indicators on children, youth, working-age and elderly population groups in Azerbaijan, as well as statistical data on the level of education of the population. As part of the event, approaches used in the development and presentation of generational statistics were discussed.
