Representatives of the State Statistical Committee participated in an international event in Saint Petersburg

On 8–9 June 2026, an international event on “The use of artificial intelligence and big data in statistics” was held in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, within the framework of the “Development of CIS statistics” project.

The State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Samir Ganili, Advisor to the Chairman and Sayavush Ahmadov, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Technologies.

As part of the event, Samir Ganili made a speech entitled “Application of big data and artificial intelligence technologies in the official statistical system: Azerbaijan’s experience and prospects.”

During the speech, participants were informed about the activities carried out in the field of official statistics, the results achieved.
