Changes in prices of consumer market
Consumer price index in January-March 2026 compared to January-March 2025 increased by 5,7%, including food products, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products 6,8%, non-food products 3,6% and paid services provided to population 5,7%.
Compared to March 2025, the annual price increase was 5,7%, while in the last month it was 0,6%.

In March 2026, consumer prices for food products, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products increased by 1,0% compared to the previous month and by 6,5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

In March of the current year compared to the previous month, more increase was observed in prices of several food products such as rice, bread, chicken, fresh fish, milk, cheese, table margarine, sunflower and corn oils, lemon, orange, tangerine, banana, apple, pear, kiwi, walnut, hazelnut, cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper, pumpkin, carrot, potato, while the decrease was observed in the prices of eggs, chestnut, cauliflower, broccoli, garlic, onion. There were no significant changes in the prices of other food products.
In March 2026, consumer prices for non-food products increased by 0,2% compared to the previous month and by 3,7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. In March compared to the previous month, mainly the prices of cement, furniture, jewelry increased, while prices of winter clothing, domestic appliances decreased. There were no significant changes in the prices of other non-food products.
In March 2026, increase in prices for paid services provided to population was 0,2% compared to the previous month and 5,7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. In March compared to the previous month, prices for paid services provided to population, particularly international passenger air transportation services increased, while prices for leisure tours to the foreign countries decreased. There were no significant changes in the prices of other paid services.
