Number of persons engaged in economy and salaries

For the state of February 1, 2026 based on preliminary data number of employees engaged in the country economy made 1782,0 thsd. persons, 861,4 thsd. of them were the employees of the public sector and 920,6 thsd. persons were the employees of the non-public sector.

18,6 percent of employees were engaged in trade; repair of transport means, 18,3 percent in education, 13,8 percent in industry, 8,6 percent in health and social services provided to population, 6,5 percent in construction, 6,2 percent in public administration and defense; social security, 4,4 percent in transport and warehouse, 3,8 percent in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2,4 percent in finance and insurance, 2,3 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing and 15,1 percent in other fields of economy.

On January 2026, average monthly nominal salary of employees engaged in the country increased by 3,8 percent and made 1103,8 manats relatively to the corresponding period of the previous year.
