Salimov Rauf was born on 23 August,1964 in Azerbaijan (Baku city). He graduated from Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy in 1985 and Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2003 with honours diploma. He is a Candidate of Economic Sciences. In the period of 1985-1989 he worked as an Economist in the Main Computing Centre of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the period of 1989-2007 he worked as a Head of Sector and a Head of Department in the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the State Statistical Committee by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 5 March 2007. Rauf Salimov is married and has two children.
