Haji Elchin Habib was born on March 15, 1968 in Baku. In 1991 year he graduated from Merchandising Faculty of Azerbaijan Technology Institute.
During 1991-1993 he worked as a merchandiser, a shift man and a shop manager in different enterprises. In the period of 1993-2012 he worked as a first grade economist, a leading economist, a chief economist and a head of sector in the State Statistical Committee.
In 2012 he was a Head of Department of Service Statistics, since 2016 he is a Head of Department of Social Statistics. He is a counselor of civil service. Awarded the medal “For distinction in the public service” in accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 17 October, 2015.
Activity Direction of the Department:
-to provide implementation of official statistics in the field of social statistics;
-to provide timely collection of statistical data and compliance of it with the social-economic processes in the country;
-to prepare indicators characterizing social-economic development of regions and present to the relevant institutions
