Participation of representative of the State Statistical Committee in the regional meeting on Labor Statistics hold in Paris

Representative of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan leading adviser of the Labor Statistics Department - Narmina Nahmadova was participated in the Preparatory Regional Meeting organized by ILO on Labour Statisticians in support of the 19th ICLS hold on 9-11July, 2012 in Paris, France.
Regional Meeting on Labour Statistics was organized the International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The main purpose of the Preparatory Regional Meeting was to bring the consultation and technical discussions to countries in Europe and Central Asia, to ensure that the revised draft standards to be prepared by the ILO adequately reflect the labour markets and labour force data priorities of countries in the region.
Experts of 26 countries (Azerbaijan, Albania, Germany, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Island, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Luxemburg, Norway, Nederland, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Tajikistan, Ukraine), as well as, representatives of ILO, OECD, Eurostat, CIS were participated in the Meeting.
Following themes were discussed during the meeting: conceptual framework for employment and work statistics, operational framework to measure the labour force, employment, unemployment, persons not in the labour force, measures to supplement the unemployment rate, other forms of work, data collection programmes, sources of employment and work statistics, communication and dissemination guidelines.
The second day of the meeting representative of SSC of the Republic of Azerbaijan Narmina Nahmadova was presented presentation on overall situation in Labour Market of Azerbaijan. Participants of the meeting was informed about the results of sample survey on "Economical Activity of Population-2011"? carried out every quarter by the Labour Statistics Department (economically active population, employment, unemployment, economically non-active population, part-time employment).
