A meeting was held at the State Statistical Committee with representatives of the country’s leading construction companies. Yusif Yusifov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, and the heads of the relevant structural divisions attended the meeting.

The meeting was organised to improve the quality of primary statistical data on construction activity, refine official statistical reporting forms and the instructions for completing them, and reduce the reporting burden on enterprises and organisations.

During the meeting, Elman Gasimzade, Head of the Department of Industry and Construction Statistics of the State Statistical Committee, gave a presentation on the current reporting forms for construction statistics, the indicators covered and their methodological basis, as well as the procedures for completing and submitting statistical reports.

The participants exchanged views on the difficulties encountered by company representatives in preparing and submitting statistical reports, issues of particular interest and ways of making the reporting process more efficient. The proposals put forward by the company representatives were also considered.
